Rehabilitation Therapy Assistants (or RA’s) have a keen understanding of the human body, with training in many areas, including anatomy, biochemistry, functional movement, human development, orthopaedics, and physiology.

Our physiotherapists works closely with our RA, Laurie Butterfield to provide clients with a comprehensive and personalized treatment program. Laurie has worked in the fitness and health industry for over 18 years, and has 6 years of experience working with clients of all ages and abilities!

One of the many advantages to adding a RA to your treatment program is that they can bring even more support and structure to your rehabilitation. With some guidance from our physiotherapists, Laurie is able to work with our clients multiple times a week so that you can reach your goals even faster!

Our In-home RA service is excellent for those in senior living residences who want to be more active and improve their mobilty, strength and conditioning, but don’t necessarily need a physiotherapist for each appointment.

Laurie’s expertise extends to a wide variety of physical and occupational therapy skills developed through working in acute, sub-acute, orthopedics, neurology, medical and mental health units in over a dozen hospital, residential care and intensive rehabilitation facilities in the lower mainland. Laurie currently works with clients in Vancouver, Richmond and Burnaby.
