About Kavitha:
Kavitha has more than 23 years of Physiotherapy experience in various countries around the world (Singapore, India, and of course in Canada)! Since moving to Canada, she has been working in acute care settings for past 12 years. Her passion towards her profession stems from helping clients be physically independent in their life.
Her kind, caring and motivated approach has always brought inspiration to her patients to recover faster. In her free time, she enjoys baking, cooking, gardening, painting and spending time with her family. She loves travelling with long drives and camping. Kavi loves all kinds of sports - especially Volleyball! She is passionate about local community sports and empowering women, and is the Women’s Coordinator in one of the local community BC Sports Clubs and well as a Director for the WTW BC Society. She loves to organize and successfully conduct events for Women through this Society every year at a National level.
Specialty
She is highly experienced with different orthopedic, cardiopulmonary and neurological conditions from acute to chronic cases. She also enjoys helping clients with in post- surgery treatments, total hip and knee replacements, fall prevention, vestibular rehabilitation, degenerative disorders, sport injuries and musculoskeletal conditions.
Experience
Kavitha received her Physiotherapy Degree from Dr. M.G.R Medical University in 2000, India and has previously worked as a Lecturer in her Physiotherapy Colleges. At the same time, Kavitha was also running her own private clinic. After moved to Singapore, Kavitha gained experience in treating geriatric population in long term care settings.
Since moved to Canada, she has been working with the Provincial Health Service Authority and Fraser Health since 2012. In 2022, Kavitha joined the joined the University of British Columbia Fall Prevention Research Project and has been treating clients across the Lower Mainland.
