  • Friends recommended Chipperfield Physio to me to learn to walk again after surgery. Joanna Varley came to our home, did an assessment, reviewed our goals/timeline, and provided a plan to achieve these goals. Following her plan, recovery was much faster than anticipated. She came up with great motivation and exercises to make this happen. I could not have achieved such results on my own. I thank Joanna so much and would give her a 10 star, not just 5 star recommendation.

  • The services offered from Chipperfield are exceptional. The therapists are supportive, informed with up-to-date research, and come with a wealth of resources and expertise. The exercises are shared digitally and are easy to view/print at home. The convenience of exercising at home makes motivation and activity more accessible. Because therapists come to your home, exercises are given that utilize the space and potential equipment you already have. I highly recommend them!

The office team is superb too. Exceptional customer service, fast/easy communication, easy booking, easy direct billing. Highly recommend.

  • I am recovering from knee replacement surgery and have been receiving physiotherapy from Samantha since the beginning. Her friendly smile, positive energy and knowledge of the rehab I need to recover has been instrumental in my progress thus far. She is encouraging and supportive while challenging me to move forward. • Rehabilitation Assistants are trained professionals who help clients follow a tailored therapy program developed by a licensed physiotherapist (PT). They assist with exercises, mobility training, and day-to-day rehabilitation activities to help clients achieve their recovery goals from the comfort of home.

    • More Frequent Sessions: RAs offer cost-effective care, allowing for more frequent sessions to keep you on track with your recovery.

    • Accountability: Regular visits with an RA help you stay consistent with your exercises and rehabilitation goals.

    • Personalized Support: RAs work one-on-one with you to ensure you’re performing exercises correctly and safely, maximizing the effectiveness of your treatment plan.

    • Convenience: Sessions are conducted in your home, making rehabilitation more accessible and eliminating the need to travel.

    • Seamless Coordination: RAs collaborate closely with your physiotherapist to ensure your progress aligns with your treatment plan.

  • Unfortunately, RA is not covered under extended health plans. However, RA services are often covered under ICBC claims and health spending plans. Our team can help verify your coverage and provide direct billing when possible.

  • A Rehabilitation Assistant can be added to your care plan after your physiotherapist has worked with you for 2-4 sessions. This allows the PT to develop a safe and effective treatment plan tailored to your specific needs, which the RA will then help you implement.

  • Rehabilitation Assistants can support clients recovering from injuries, surgeries, neurological conditions (e.g., stroke, Parkinson’s), or those requiring general mobility and strength improvements.

  • Your physiotherapist designs and oversees your treatment plan, and the Rehabilitation Assistant ensures that the plan is carried out consistently. The PT regularly checks progress and updates the plan as needed.
