About David:
David grew up in the Toronto, Ontario area where he studied music and attended McMaster University. He has a PhD in Psychology, completed a post-doctoral fellowship at UBC and is well published in the fields of Psychology and Neuroscience.
In his spare time, David is also a classically trained Pianist (Royal Conservatory of Music of Toronto) and a videographer, photographer, musician, composer, and writer with a studio in Gastown.
Specialty
He is currently working with concussion and mental health clients as well as clients with developmental and acquired disabilities. David helps clients understand and work through personal and social difficulties associated with anxiety, depression, anger management, trauma, PTSD, and interpersonal relations in and out of the workplace.
Experience
David has extensive training and experience assessing and treating cognitive difficulties associated with concussion, development, aging, and trauma, as well as with the development and implementation of associated treatment plans and return to work (RTW) strategies and support.
As a psychology professor he teaches neuroscience, neuropsychology, drugs and behaviour and rehabilitation at the senior undergraduate level and has taught at the graduate level.
